The administration console
Users, global roles and quotas, and the state of the license, for the whole installation.
The Admin button in the top bar (visible to administrators only) opens System Administration. It is about the whole installation, unlike a workspace’s own settings.
Global roles and quotas
A global role decides how much a user may have on this installation: the number of workspaces, collections per workspace, entries per collection, the storage quota, and the encryption privileges (allow encrypted collections and how many, allow the isolated index, allow in-memory search). New users get the role marked Default. Press + New Global Role to make one, Edit to change it. Leave a number empty for unlimited.
Users
The Users tab lists every account with its workspaces, the storage used, the date of registration and the global role, which you can change right in the row. Search by e-mail or name.
Moderation
| Action | What happens |

| Ban | A reason is required and is shown to the user. Sign-in and every request are refused at once. The ban can schedule an automatic deletion after N days. |
| Unban | The account is active again; a scheduled deletion is cancelled. |
| Delete | The account is switched off; its personal workspaces go to the trash. It can be restored. Workspaces shared with others, and those with a public registry, stay. |
| Restore | Brings the account and the workspaces that went with it back. |
| Erase now | Irreversible: personal data is removed and the account becomes an anonymous “Deleted user”. |
History shows the moderation events of a user. “Delete banned accounts after (days)” sets the general period for automatic deletion after a ban; 0 means never. You cannot ban or delete yourself, and the installation cannot be left without an administrator.
