Guide / Collections and entries
Create a collection
A collection is a catalog of similar things. Name it, give it a cover and decide who can see it.
- On the collections page press + New collection.
- Give it a name and, if you like, a description and a cover image address. You can change all of this later.
- Tick “public registry” only if you want other people on this installation to be able to browse it and copy entries (see Public registries).
- Press Create. The new collection opens, empty.
An empty collection has no fields yet, only a title for every entry. The next step is usually to add fields: see Fields.
Change it later
Open the collection and press Settings. There you can rename it, change the description and cover (upload a file or paste an address), and switch the public registry option. The Languages & Translations tab lets you give the name and description in other languages. Password protection and encryption are on the same window; see Protecting your data.
Careful. Deleting a collection moves it, with its entries, to the trash for 30 days (the period is configurable by the operator). You can restore it from there.
