Sprints, Backlog & Burndown Reports
Structuring iterations, planning backlog scope, tracking team velocity, and burndown progress.
Sprint tools help teams break continuous backlogs into time-boxed iterations with clear goals and empirical velocity tracking.
Setting Up Sprint Workflows
Sprints are managed via a dedicated linked iterations collection:
- Create a companion "Sprints" collection with start date, end date, state (planned, active, closed), and goal fields.
- Link the tasks collection to Sprints using a "sprint" relation.
- In Kanban block settings, enable Sprints integration and select the Sprints collection.
- Plan iterations by dragging tasks from the Backlog into upcoming or active sprints.
Active Sprint Banner
The top of the Kanban board features an active sprint header showing the sprint objective, countdown to deadline, completion progress, and sprint switcher.
Sprint Analytics & Reports
The Sprint Reports modal provides key empirical metrics:
- Velocity Chart — historical Story Points completed per sprint to forecast future sprint capacity.
- Burndown Chart — daily remaining work versus the ideal burndown trajectory.
Tip. When a sprint closes, relation links remain on closed tasks as an immutable record of historical team commitments.
