Invite people by link

Send a link that lets a person create an account and join with a role you chose.

  1. In the workspace settings, under Members, press Invite by link.
  2. Choose the role of the new member, how many days the link is valid and how many times it can be used. Add a note only you can see (“Book club”).
  3. If the server can send mail, you can also type an address and Corexar sends the link to it.
  4. Press Create link and copy it. It is shown once.

Whoever opens the link sees which workspace and role they are invited to. If they have no account they choose “Create account and join”; if they do, they sign in and press “Join workspace”. The invitations you made are listed under Invitation links, with how many times each was used and when it expires; Withdraw cancels one.

Note. Only a hash of the link is stored, so a leaked database gives no working links. A link that is expired, used up or withdrawn always says the same: “This invitation is not valid”.
