Links & Relation Graph

Creating typed relations, Force-directed physics layout, and relation canvas navigation.

Corexar connects entries across any collections with directed, typed relations. This transforms isolated records into a unified network of dependencies, architecture topologies, and business workflows.

Creating Relations Between Entries

Relations can be established directly from an item card or through the relation modal dialog:

  1. Open the desired entry in a collection and scroll to the Relations block.
  2. Click the "Link Item" button.
  3. Choose the target collection and the specific item to connect with.
  4. Select the relation type (e.g., Blocks, Depends on, Relates to, Precedes, Implements).

Force-Directed Physics Simulation

By default, the canvas runs a force-directed physics layout engine. Nodes repel one another while relations act as elastic springs. This automatically clusters tightly coupled components together and eliminates overlapping cards.

Canvas Navigation

Pan by clicking and dragging empty canvas background. Zoom with the mouse wheel or trackpad gestures. Clicking a node selects it and isolates its local neighborhood. The "Reset view" button instantly re-centers the viewport on the graph.

Tip. Use the Zoom Level selector (L1 / L2 / L3) in the top toolbar: L1 (Macro) gives a high-level cluster overview, L2 (Meso) details subsystem interactions, and L3 (Micro) exposes fine-grained entry metadata.
