Search across everything

One box in the top bar finds entries in every collection you may see.

Press / or Cmd+K (Ctrl+K), or click “Search everything…” in the top bar, and type. Results list the matching entries with their cover and the collection each belongs to. Click one to open it.

It searches titles and field values, and finds words anywhere in them.
You only ever get what you may see: collections you have no access to, or that are locked, stay out of the results.
Inside a collection, the search box above the cards narrows that collection and combines with filters (see Browse, search and filter).
Encrypted collections are searched too, but only while they are unlocked.

Note. In Home the search runs on the built-in SQLite full-text index; in Server it runs on Elasticsearch. Either way it is the same box and the same results.
