Files, covers and galleries
Upload pictures, video, audio and documents to an entry, choose its cover and tidy the gallery.
- On the entry page, find Media. Press Upload cover to set the picture that represents the entry on cards, or Add to gallery for everything else.
- Add many files at once: choose several in the picker, drag them onto the Media area, or paste from the clipboard (a screenshot, say) anywhere on the page.
- Each file has a Set cover button (or Unset), a download button and a delete button. A tag under the name (“poster”, “trailer”) lets a page block pick files by role.
- Select lets you delete several files at once.
Any kind of file
Pictures (including GIFs), video, audio, PDFs and anything else are accepted. Click a file to preview it in a window sized to its kind; pictures, video and audio play, a PDF is shown, and other files offer a download. Anyone who can see the entry can preview and download its files.
Video for streaming
Uploaded video always plays. If ffmpeg is available, Corexar also repackages it in the background for adaptive streaming. Tick “Encrypt videos (AES-128)” before uploading to have the segments encrypted at rest.
Note. A collection also has files of its own, not tied to any entry: the pictures of a gallery block, the banner, the documents of a documents block. They are uploaded from the page builder and listed under “Choose from uploaded”.
